Witches is a viral spoken word poem by Fleassy Malay.
Originally published through their personal socials in 2017, Witches was professionally produced in early 2018 and published through Uplift Connect (Co-produced with Re/Culture Media) for International Women’s Day. This production was posted across Facebook and Youtube. The Facebook publication of this poem reached over a million views in the first few days and reached over 3 million views within a few weeks.

The poem spurred a ripple effect across the world leading to fans translating it into Spanish, French, Italian and German. It also became a popular piece for movement groups and artists to dance to. English Lit teachers from various countries contacted the artist to let her know her poem was being used in their classrooms too.

The original videos are no longer online however copies of it can be found across various platforms. Since then multiple liver performances of the poem have also been filmed and published.
